Kaighn was awarded the Outstanding Undergraduate Award in the Department of Biological Sciences. His honors thesis poster presentation at the Benthic Ecology Meeting won an Outstanding Undergraduate Research award. Here he is taking time out from writing his senior honors thesis to cook up some burgers during the BioSci Club's Darwin Day Cook-out.
